NOTICE ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF VIDEO SURVEILLANCE (Article 13 GDPR)
I. Data Controller and Purpose of Processing
The controller, SAILING POINT navtika, šport in trgovina, d.o.o., Obala 103, 6320 Portorož – Portorose, operates video surveillance for the purpose of monitoring entry and exit to and from business premises, and ensuring the safety of persons and property.
II. Legal Basis for the Processing of Personal Data
The legitimate interest of the controller pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with Articles 76, 77 and 78 of ZVOP-2. The controller justifies the overriding legitimate interest for implementing video surveillance on the grounds that it is necessary, required and proportionate for achieving the purpose of protecting persons and property. Video surveillance does not significantly intrude upon individuals, who are informed of the processing and their rights. An individual may, upon request, access the legitimate interest test at our registered address or submit a request for disclosure to info@sailing-point.si.
III. Types of Personal Data We Process
Recording of the individual, location data, date and time of the recording.
IV. Categories of Recipients of Personal Data
Video surveillance footage may be disclosed to recipients where they demonstrate a legal basis and this is consistent with the purpose of processing (e.g. police, prosecution for the purpose of criminal proceedings). We have entered into appropriate data processing agreements with contracted processors (IT service provider).
V. Information on Transfers of Personal Data to a Third Country or International Organisation
No transfer of personal data to third countries takes place.
VI. Special Impacts and Unusual Further Processing
The controller has the option of monitoring events in real time.
VII. Retention Period
Recordings are retained for a maximum of 45 days.
VIII. Rights of the Individual
By submitting a written request at our registered address or to our email address info@sailing-point.si, you may request access to recordings in which you appear. You may also object to processing and request restriction of processing or erasure of data. To exercise your rights, you must specify the date and approximate time at which you were recorded; we may request additional information from you in order to verify your identity.
IX. Complaint
You may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana (email: gp.ip@ip-rs.si, telephone: (01) 230 97 30, website: www.ip-rs.si), if you believe that your personal data are being processed in contravention of the regulations governing personal data protection.
