DUBARRY
Seventy years ago, a cooperative was established in the small Irish town of Ballinasloe with the aim of helping local residents find employment. Most of them found work at Dubarry, a footwear manufacturer that soon became one of Ireland’s more successful companies. The factory – which took its name from the French courtesan Madame du Barry – focused on producing the highest-quality footwear for coastal and rural environments. From a craft workshop, Dubarry has over the years developed into a modern industry that preserves tradition and excellence.
Experienced sailors know the Dubarry brand very well. So too do all those who swear by high-quality, functional footwear of outstanding craftsmanship. Particularly renowned are the boots with a dual-layer Gore-Tex membrane and drainage sock, which have become synonymous with the excellence and durability of Dubarry footwear.
